On Tuesday, October 6, we will gather as leaders of this diocese for our first Leadership Conference, “This IS The Moment"!
It will be a day of joy, honest conversation, prayer, and vision for the mission in front of us. We are living in a Year of the Holy Spirit, and I want us to call on Him together and ask where He is leading us next. The world our parishes and schools were built to serve no longer exists. That is not a reason for discouragement, but rather a summons. Christ is still building His Church, and He is doing it through the leaders He has already placed here, in this moment.
Who should attend?
Pastors and school principals, and the small team of people they already rely on to lead mission. It doen't have to be a formal committee, just the two, three, or five people the leaders turn to when something important needs to get done. This is not a solo event. The work of the day is meant to be carried back by a team, and that only happens if more than one person is in the room.
That's why I’m inviting leaders in this Diocese of Saginaw to spend a day together with me -- a day of clarity and inspiration: naming the age we’re actually in, understanding what apostolic mission asks of us to do, and giving your team room to discern where the Lord is calling you next.
