Come & Encounter the Holy Spirit

As part of the Diocese of Saginaw's Year of the Holy Spirit, Sacred Heart Parish in Gladwin invites you to a four-night Parish Mission with Fr. Daniel Maria Klimek.

Whether you are deeply involved in your faith, returning to the Church, or simply searching for a deeper relationship with God, this mission offers an opportunity for prayer, reflection, renewal, and encounter with the Holy Spirit.

All are welcome! 

All Holy Hours are from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Bishop Robert Gruss is encouraging the faithful to join him in a Holy Hour for vocations. He’ll be in two parishes across the diocese each month.

Bishop Gruss will be bringing with him a relic of St. John Vianney, the patron saint of parish priests, for veneration (learn more about what veneration means here: https://saginaw.org/veneration).  

Safe Environment training is required for all diocesan, parish, and school employees and volunteers in contact with minors. All are welcome. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in to ensure the on-time beginning of the presentation.

Join St. Brigid Catholic Church on Saturday, August 15th, at 11:30AM at the Tridge in Midland for the dedication of a newly installed plaque commemorating Jesuit missionary Fr. Henri Nouvel. Located between the Tridge and the former Farmers Market Circle, the plaque commemorates the 350th anniversary of the first Christmas Catholic Mass celebrated in the interior of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula by Fr. Nouvel on December 25, 1675. The dedication will be preceded by 10:00 AM Mass at St. Brigid Catholic Church for the Solemnity of the Assumption. All are welcome!

BBQ Chicken Festival Dinner with raffle, silent auction, kids games

Aug. 19-Oct. 28 - Holy Spirit Bible Study - Acts of the Apostles: The Early Church, 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays (Aug. 19 and 26; Sept. 2, 9 and 30; and Oct. 7, 21 and 28), St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 3680 S. Washington Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601. Led by Fr. Alberto Vargas. He explores the birth and growth of the early Church. Discover the mission of the Apostles and how to be Missionary disciples as we grow as disciples. Learn practical reflections for living the Gospel today.

EVENSONG 2026 - THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Featuring the Bishop and the Priests of the Diocese of Saginaw

Evensong is not a concert, it is a prayer.
Come and join Bishop Gruss and the Priests of the Diocese of Saginaw as they sing to the Lord. The priests will be singing and playing instruments. This event combines Music with Scripture, Sacred Tradition and visuals. You are invited to pray and sing along with our priests. Bring your friends. Everyone is welcome, there is plenty of space in the church and even two parking lots.

Join Bishop Gruss, Father Adam Maher and other Priests from the diocese of Saginaw for an Evening of Healing with the Divine Physician. While many people experience deep healing by staying for all parts of the evening, you are welcome to arrive and leave at any point, as your schedule allows. Confession will be heard from 4:30-5:45PM. Mass will be celebrated from 6:00-6:45PM and will transition immediately to a time of Eucharistic Adoration. Bishop Gruss and Father Adam will lead a brief teaching on healing, followed by a Eucharistic Procession.
