Safe Environment training is required for all diocesan, parish, and school employees and volunteers in contact with minors. All are welcome. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in to ensure the on-time beginning of the presentation.

This workshop features presentations by trained marriage facilitators, practical couple exercises, private discussion and prayer. At the conclusion of the workshop, you will receive a certificate of completion to copy and give to your parish. The cost is $90 per couple and includes lunch. The deadline to register is July 8, 2026.

Take off on a Radical Ride around the world with Amazing Angels and Super Saints! 

Buckle up as you prepare to soar with inspiring and practical lessons about prayer! 
Children aged 3-11 are invited August 3-6 from 9:30AM - 12PM to learn about prayer, saints, and angels through songs, games, and encountering Jesus!

6th - 12th grade youth (and chaperones) are invited to join Bishop Gruss for canoeing, food, fun, and a Eucharistic Procession. Finish the day with 5:00 p.m. Vigil Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. 

The cost is $35 per person ($5 livery fee if you bring your own canoe or kayak).

Come & Encounter the Holy Spirit

As part of the Diocese of Saginaw's Year of the Holy Spirit, Sacred Heart Parish in Gladwin invites you to a four-night Parish Mission with Fr. Daniel Maria Klimek.

Whether you are deeply involved in your faith, returning to the Church, or simply searching for a deeper relationship with God, this mission offers an opportunity for prayer, reflection, renewal, and encounter with the Holy Spirit.

Join Father Jose Cabrera for a fascinating journey of learning about the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and their significance for Biblical scholarship. 

His Bible Museum displays several fragments, including his most recent acquisition of a complete copy of the Great Isaiah Scroll which is the most complete of all the scrolls discovered since 1946. The original scroll is 24 feet long and dates back to the first century before Christ.

"...what God has joined together..." The Diocese of Saginaw celebrates the Sacrament of Matrimony. Couples celebrating milestone anniversaries anytime in 2026 (beginning with 5 years and in 5-year increments thereafter) are welcome to join along with their children and their families. Bishop Gruss will celebrate Mass at 2:00 p.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 5376 State St, Saginaw, and a reception will follow at the Center for Ministry, 5802 Weiss St, Saginaw. Come celebrate and recognize Catholic Rural Life. The Diocese of Saginaw is made up of many rural communities. Bishop Gruss hopes to pray with and recognize the faith and beauty of these communities in a special way with the celebration of Mass. All are welcome.
